The SCE model 705s is a stand-alone fraud protection device with the
following features:
- PREVENTS RED BOX FRAUD: The SCE 705s incorporates a unique
frequency filter circuit that effectively prevents the use of a coin
tone generator or "Red Box" to simulate deposited coins to the
network.
- LINE POLARITY FILTER SWITCHING: The SCE 705s has the
capability to "Switch" it's coin tone filter on and off based
on handset line polarity. Because coin deposit signals are normally sent
to the network only during a line reversal or reverse battery condition,
this switching action will allow the use of acoustically coupled modems
or other devices without any interference whatsoever.
NOTE: Some dial polarity guard devices also prevent the handset
polarity from changing and would necessitate the coin tone filter being
enabled at all times.
- PREVENTS PIN FRAUD: The SCE 705s electronically isolates the
coin telephone handset from the telephone line so that grounding or "Pin
Fraud" cannot be accomplished. This isolation makes it impossible
to place a free local call or to prevent the coin relay from collecting
deposited coins by grounding the handset conductors. The coin telephone
handset is isolated at times regardless of line polarity.
- EITHER CARBON OR DYNAMIC HANDSETS MAY BE USED: There is no
need to change handsets to deploy the SCE 705s. It is compatible with
either carbon or dynamic transmitter type coin telephone handsets. This
compatibility will allow you to upgrade to dynamic handsets or to
interchange handsets at no additional cost.
- MAINTENANCE FREE: The SCE 705s has conformal coated
electronics for environmental protection and long service life. There
are no settings or adjustments required for installation or maintenance.
- EASILY INSTALLED: The SCE 705s can be easily installed in
less than two minutes without any formal training. Each unit has simple,
easy to understand installation instructions packaged in the box.
Mounting of the SCE 705s is accomplished by installing the mounting
bracket in one of several locations. The unit may be mounted on any of
the locking plate studs on the inside left of the upper housing, the top
or bottom locking plate studs on the inside right of the upper housing,
or the inside bottom of the upper housing.
- TWO YEAR EXTENDED FACTORY WARRANTY: We are so confidant of
the reliability of the SCE 705s that we have provided an extended two
year factory warranty. If any unit should fail during the warranty
period, a new replacement will be sent at no charge.
- CUSTOM MOUNTING AND/OR WIRING CONFIGURATIONS will be
provided to meet your specifications for deployment.
